  • Country: Colombia
  • Elevation: 1600m
  • Region: San Agustín, Alto Del Obispo, Huila
  • Variety: Colombian
  • Farm Name: El Futuro Farm
  • Processing Method: Washed
  • Producer: Nelson Garcia Cordoba
  • Flavor: Pear, Stone fruits, kiwi, white sugar

Scenic Origin: El Futuro Farm graces the mountainous region of Alto Del Obispo in San Agustín, Huila, an area not only famous for its South American largest archaeological site, San Agustín, but also for its long-standing tradition of producing superior coffee. The farm enjoys ideal elevation and sunlight, nestled between the lush mountains and the rich sources of the Magdalena River, creating a picturesque setting for coffee cultivation.

A Legacy Cultivated: Nelson Garcia, born into a coffee-producing family, grew up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes of Huila. With the support of his wife Clara, he dedicated himself to continuing this legacy by focusing on producing the finest coffee, thus founding El Futuro Farm. From clearing the land and planting saplings to the first harvest, Nelson has poured his heart and soul into every step, inspired by his parents' meticulous care and dedication.

Harvesting Excellence: At El Futuro Farm, the main harvest occurs from October to December, with a smaller mid-year crop from May to June. This ensures the coffee plants are always in peak condition through regular fertilization, pruning, and maintenance of the farm's infrastructure. The harvest is meticulously managed, with only the ripest cherries picked, followed by careful sorting, fermenting, and washing, resulting in clean, wet parchment. The coffee is then slowly dried in greenhouse-like structures over 15-21 days, achieving the perfect moisture content for optimal flavor.

This coffee not only represents the culmination of meticulous cultivation and processing practices but also embodies the spirit and dedication of the Garcia family. It's a celebration of Colombian coffee culture, offering a taste of Huila's rich landscapes and heritage in every cup.

At Tasse Coffee Roastery, we believe in "aging" our beans after roasting to enhance flavor and aroma. Our beans are shipped within 14 days of roasting.
