SCA Coffee Technicians Program

The Hydraulics Foundation course in the Coffee Technicians Program teaches essential skills for safely handling hydraulic components in coffee equipment. The Foundation Electrical course in the Coffee Technicians Program covers the essentials of coffee equipment electronics. It teaches identification, removal, and replacement of electrical components, and how to connect machines to power supplies safely. This introductory course is crucial for understanding the electrical systems of coffee machines and includes practical skills in using electrical testing tools. Following this, the Intermediate Diagnostics & Repair course builds upon these foundations, focusing on troubleshooting and repairing common coffee equipment malfunctions and adjusting operating parameters.

The Foundation Water & Preventive Maintenance course is an introductory module in the Coffee Technicians Program. It focuses on understanding water treatment systems and preventive maintenance for coffee machines. The course equips learners with the ability to identify and maintain water treatment components, understand water quality parameters, and perform preventive maintenance on various coffee equipment. The Intermediate Water Treatment course then builds on this knowledge, delving deeper into water treatment systems, limescale buildup, corrosion risks, and specific system requirements for different coffee equipment.
